Hi, I'm Kristi Burch. I have always called District 2 home. I’m a candidate for District 2 in Horry County, SC. Many of you might know District 2 as Myrtle Beach. Many vacation here by the grace of God; I was born here. My 3 daughters are in their twenties and living their best lives. My caregiving has switched to older family members. My husband is a professor at Coastal Carolina University. I’m a business owner who lives in an old beach house five blocks away from where my grandmother’s house once stood. When I’m not duct-taping this old house, I’m working to sustain struggling nonprofits and cheering on the day-to-day operations of my business. I have an MBA from Coastal Carolina University. In my undergraduate studies, I studied economics and practical politics. Over the years, I’ve been involved on the quiet back end of local campaigns. I’m excited to be doing what I always said I would do: run for local office.
